“Half an hour from each of you” is about travel time, and travel time isn't distance — a point halfway across the map can be an hour for one of you and ten minutes for the other. Doing that properly needs routing data we don't have and won't invent. You already know how long your own journey takes; so does everyone else. Put a spot in and this tells you whether it's fair.
